INTRODUCTION
Day Break Advocacy Champions is a duly registered non-governmental organization
that formed in 2024 and registered in 2025. It is dedicated to promoting responsible
citizenship founded on the core ideals of Zambia’s independence in 1964—Unity,
Love, Peace, Freedom, Justice, Hard work and Resilience and the spirit of “One
Zambia, One Nation . The program draws its name from the
Zambian currency, Kwacha Ngwee, where “Kwacha” symbolizes dawn or daybreak
and “Ngwee” signifies brightness, together representing a complete or full daybreak.
This renaming of the currency in 1968 following independence from colonial rule
aimed to align Zambia’s identity with its newfound autonomy.
